Röskva is the organisation of socially minded students at the University of Iceland and fights for student rights.
Röskva was founded in 1988 and has since involved itself in student politics as well as national politics. Röskva’s main theme has always been the same; equal rights to education.
Röskva has representatives in the Student Council, the University General Forum and the University Council of the University of Iceland.
Röskva thinks that student unions should push for student rights on all platforms by applying pressure to national, local and university governing bodies. That is why fighting for student interests is not bound to action within the University of Iceland. The fight should be fought in society as a whole.
