The Future of Our Campus

PARTICIPATORY DEMOCRACY

Röskva wants to continue advocating for students’ increased participation in democratic decision making with projects like Háskólinn Okkar (Our University), which was first implemented in 2018 and made the fight for student rights more accessible to all students.

GREEN SPACES

Röskva wants to see green spaces on campus be better designed and more appealing so students will want to make use of them.

SNOOZE ROOM / MEDITATION ROOM

Following common practice in many progressive workplaces today, Röskva believes the University of Iceland should create a healthier environment for students and staff by providing a meditation room on campus.

COLORFUL CAMPUS

Röskva wants our campus to be bright and colorful. To that end, we could paint rainbows on the sidewalks, like the ones found in Seyðisfjörður all year round or the ones that brighten up Reykjavik during Gay Pride.

TREES ON CAMPUS

Planting more trees would help offset carbon emissions and make the campus more beautiful.

BUDGET GROCERY STORE

Röskva believes students and staff should have access to a low-cost grocery store on campus.

BUILDING A CAMPUS COMMUNITY

Röskva believes that the university should strive to create a sense of community on campus, as is common in foreign universities.
